Robert S. Kaplan, D.M.D.
A good dentist is attentive to people, not just teeth. That's why Dr. Kaplan makes it a point to spend extra time with you, so you feel relaxed. He also informs you about the latest preventive care, because he wants you to have healthy, beautiful teeth that last your whole lifetime. "It's important to me."
Dr. Kaplan earned his B.A. in Biology from the University of Connecticut in 1972 and his D.M.D. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1976. He served an internship at Boston City Hospital from 1976-77. Dr. Kaplan's education didn't stop when he graduated from dental school. Because dentistry is a field that progresses quickly, he takes hours of continuing education each year. That way, he is sure to stay on top of new developments. New developments that help him help you.
Dr. Kaplan belongs to several professional memberships including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Metropolitan District Dental Society, and the L.D. Pankey Alumni Association. He belongs to these associations so he can learn and share new techniques and ideas with colleagues. "It allows me to give you the very best in effective and comfortable care."
Leading-edge technology makes dental care more pleasant and meaningful to patients. Using tools such as an intraoral camera displays a size-enhanced video image of the inside of your mouth to reveal problems that often go undetected by the naked eye. Dr. Kaplan tries to educate his patients, so they know how to care better for their teeth. After all, their bright, healthy smiles are what his practice is all about. And they often tell him they appreciate learning more, too.
Dr. Kaplan believes in sharing knowledge to benefit dentistry as well as patients. He is a Clinical Instructor of General Dentistry at the Tufts University of Dental Medicine. He is also affiliated with the Franciscan Children's Hospital. "Contributing to the education of up-and-coming dentists means as much to me as educating patients about dental health."

Kim Fisher Piculell, R.D.H.
Kim graduated from the reputable Forsyth Dental School in 1985. She practiced hygiene in Boston for fifteen years while she lived in the city. Kim joined our office staff twelve years ago.
Kim has contributed many of her talents to our office. When she is not practicing hygiene she works at the front desk to answer patient questions regarding their oral care and/or dental treatment. Kim also works with Dr. Kaplan to ensure the effective completion of treatment plans for our patients. "My goal as a hygienist is to not only provide our patients with the knowledge needed to maintain oral health, but to explain their treatment needs to them in a way that will answer their questions and alleviate any concerns they may have."
Kim moved to the Concord area five years ago. She is very active in the community and freely gives her time to the Concord Museum. Kim has two children. She enjoys vacationing on the Vineyard with her family and golden retriever.

Karin Torrisi, R.D.H., B.S.
Karin completed her Hygiene Degree at Forsyth Dental School in 1997. She continued her education for two more years at Northeastern, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1999. While practicing hygiene on the North Shore, Karin worked for the Department of Public Health researching dental treatment for low income families. Karin is also a clinical instructor at Mt. Ida College where she teaches the senior students in a clinical setting.
Karin has been working in this office for the past five years. She is very knowledgeable on the process of tooth whitening and administers our in-office tooth whitening service. One aspect of dental hygiene which Karin enjoys is the opportunity to build a positive rapport with patients. "I enjoy interpersonal relationships with patients. I see it as a chance to learn from them as well as to educate our patients on the importance of oral health." We are fortunate to have such a committed health professional who cares for her patients' well being.
Karin is very active and enjoys both running and playing the piano in her free time. She resides in the South Shore with her two daughters.

Her combined dental assistance experience and hygiene knowledge motivates her to be sincerely committed to explaining the importance of preventative care.
